Brought by German immigrants in the 1800's so because Turkey Red wheat is a very old, non-hybridized variety, its gluten structure may be easier for people with gluten intolerance (non-celiacs) to digest.

 

Our Turkey Red flour is stone ground right here on our farm. There is nothing added and nothing lost in the milling process. When we say 100% whole wheat, we mean you get all the bran, all the germ and all the endosperm from the nutritious wheat berries.

Freshly Milled Flour From Our Heirloom Turkey Red Wheat

  • Your flour is milled just prior to shipping, so it will be very fresh when you get it. Because whole wheat flour contains the oil-rich germ, it can go rancid over time if stored incorrectly. We recommend you squeeze the air out of the bag and store the flour in your refrigerator or freezer.
